We understand the stress caused by weddings and really … we don’t like it and certainly do not want to add to it. We like yes as an answer, we like of course as a response and we like no problem when one appears to be surfacing.
Our superb venue is the ideal wedding reception venue in Herefordshire and Gloucestershire – set in the rolling hills of the Forest of Dean and big enough to accommodate up to 200 guests for your wedding breakfast (the term wedding breakfast apparently comes from the term break (the) fast as it was common for the bride and groom to fast before marriage vows!) and your evening wedding party.
If you are looking for a wedding venue with a unique wow factor and stunning 40 acres surrounding it, then we think Hillside Brewery is the one for you. Completely renovated with every modern comfort which includes; underfloor heating, galley kitchen, programmable led lighting insulated walls / ceiling and a superb terrace overlooking the hills of Gloucestershire and beyond.
We can help you dress the venue to be the perfect venue for your wedding… from glamorous to boho chic and barn dance to farmyard (with hay bales!) we can manage all of these things for you. And if we can’t we know a guy or girl who can.
We would love you to celebrate your day with us just give us a call on 01452 830 222 and we can give you an update on availability and an idea of costs.
We only work with people who we know are going to exceed your expectations on your special day. Luckily enough Brian & Christine who run Satin & Lace Weddings Ltd in the Royal Forest of Dean can supply everything apart from your cake, dress or your man (but what they don’t do themselves – they will know someone who can).
Satin & Lace are only a 5-minute drive away from our fantastic Wedding venue. After having a look around Hillside Brewery and our event space, you can go and see how this venue can be decorated in their award winning showroom .With very flexible opening times you can see first-hand the wedding cars that they can offer for hire, their wedding venue styling options and the bespoke stationery and flower packages that they can supply to help make your wedding day extra special and fit for your needs.
We always like to do something different from what you normally see, thats where James from Waistcoat Wines always comes up trumps. He supplies us with a great range of wines that you wont normally find and at a reasonable price too. Any style or size I’m sure we have a magnum to blow you away.
We also work with Tom from Laithwaites wine who boast an incredible range of wines wet your whistle. We have a few set wedding packages which can be customised to fit your needs and make sure the wine you want is perfect for your special day.
On of the most important parts of the day is the food and we ensure quality and consistency in everything we do to the people we work with. Our preferred partners for food are all exceptional at what they do. Barney from Infamous Catering has a passion for food and flavour. Taking ingredients from the local area and seasonal produce to help create a delicious menu for you.
Sian from Cater Cater is well versed in wedding catering having won several awards for their food, its well worth looking at their downloadable menus. We have beer pairing recommendations for each of their courses to enhance your culinary experience.
We also believe in keeping things simple which Sam from the Forest of Dean Hog Roast does incredibly well. Who doesn’t love a Hog Roast or freshly made pizza with a beer… or two?
If you want to add a bit of class to your event, Rachel can create incredible Bespoke Canapés from Love Bites, which really have to be seen to be believed.
Every wedding needs a cake and Pia from Vanilla Pod Bakery can help create your Bespoke Wedding Cakes with style and class. No cake to big and will fit perfectly with your wedding theme and style.
Last but by no means least are the memories from your special day that you will want to look back and smile upon. Molly truly captures Photography & Cinematography like no one else we have seen. Have a look at their website: The Wedding Cut scroll down to see some of their work.
